Family Therapy

Family Therapy (also known as Systemic Psychotherapy) helps people in a close relationship to work together to manage life's difficulties. These might be marital or parenting problems or other things, for example, mental health issues in the family.

It helps people to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, to understand each other’s points of view, appreciate each other’s needs, build on strengths and also to make changes in their relationships and their lives.

I work to include all members of the family and give them a chance to contribute and talk together. I also build on the resources and talents in families which often leads to the family being able to find their own solutions to seemingly intractable problems.

Individuals also find Family Therapy helpful, presenting an opportunity to reflect on important relationships.
